JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Jacksonville police have arrested a second suspect in the killing of a man at a downtown block party last year.

Calvin Bryant, 28, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the death of Andre Moore outside Tailgate Bar and Grill next to EverBank Field in April.

Moore, 22, was shot several times in a crowd of several hundred people.

Damon Williams was the first suspect arrested. Police said he confessed to the shooting that killed Moore and wounded another after initially lying about it. Police said Williams had gotten into a physical altercation with Moore, which escalated to the shooting.

According to an arrest report for Bryant, a witness came forward and told police that when Moore fell after being shot, Bryant stood over him and fired five or six shots into his back.

Police said David Walker, an innocent bystander not involved in the fight, was shot and taken to a hospital by a friend.

Police said there were four off-duty officers who witnessed the shooting.
