Two weeks after suffering injuries when his wife was killed by a car crashing through their produce stand, the husband has also died.

On Sept. 20, a Lincoln Towncar ran a red light on Moncrief Road and slammed into the stand at the corner of Moncrief and Edgewood Avenue.

Julia Baltierra, 54, had to be rescued from underneath the car but died at the hospital. Channel 4 learned that 65-year-old Pablo Baltierra died Sunday night of multiple organ failure and internal bleeding.

Their son said he died on what was his wife's birthday, leaving the family to plan a second funeral in three weeks.

Witnesses said the car was driving erratically just before crashing into the stand. Police said they believe the driver may have had a medical emergency, which caused the crash. The driver, who was 86 years old and was also hospitalized after the wreck, would not face any charges, according to police.
