JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police have charged a 60-year-old man with murder in the death of a 70-year-old man shot and killed Dec. 22 in his own driveway.

According to the arrest report, Arnold Perry is accused of fatally shooting Tommy Munford. Although Munford's wallet was missing and it appeared his pockets had been searched, but they don't know if robbery was the motive.

Police said Munford was killed with his own gun, which was found near the crime scene near the intersection of Superior Street and Lowell Avenue.

Later the night of Munford's killing, Perry showed up at Baptist Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his eye. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement ballistics experts found that the wound was from a bullet fired by the same .357-Magnum handgun.

DNA testing of blood at the scene where Munford was killed was matched to Perry, according to investigators.

Munford was a long-time member of the International Longshoremen's Association Local 1408, and the union announced earlier this month it was offering a reward to find his killer.
