Morning traffic anchor, reporter
Crystal Moyer joined the Channel 4 team in October of 2012 and has held several behind-the-scenes jobs before joining the on-air Morning Show team to help ease your commute to work.
She is a proud alumna of Elon University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2011 with a major in broadcast journalism and minor in business administration. While attending Elon University, Crystal was involved in the campus newscast, Phoenix14 News, a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. and an Elon Cheerleader. (GO PHOENIX!)
She has had other professional experiences, interning for KXRM News in Colorado Springs, Colorado and WKCF News in Orlando, Florida. Right out of college she worked as a one-man-band reporter for WMBF News in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Eager to get some Florida sunshine, she packed up and moved to Jacksonville, landing a job with Channel 4 as a multi-media producer. She continued her time at Channel 4 wearing many hats as the backup traffic anchor for The Morning Show, reporter and assignment editor.
In addition to her daily traffic duties, you'll see her on the evening newscasts, reporting on local stories and events.
If you haven't already noticed, Crystal is a morning person. Her bubbly and motivating attitude sparks from her many years of being a cheerleader. She has experiences competing nationally and made an appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the movie "Bring It On: In It To Win It".
One of Crystal's most memorable moments was meeting CNN's Soledad O'Brien and having a chance to speak with her about the amazing stories and documentaries she produces unveiling the triumphs and tribulations of issues people are facing.
Crystal was born in North Dakota, but being a part of a military family, has moved around a bit. She was raised in Central Florida and is excited to be in the Sunshine State -- a place she considers home.
When Crystal is not helping you get around accidents or reporting, she loves to hit the beach, play with her dog, Nala and cheer on the Jags her friends and family.
