LAKE CITY, Fla. -

The Lake City Police Department is asking for help finding those responsible for stealing 11 air conditioners in three weeks.

Police said five structures have had their air conditioners taken. They said it appears the thefts were for the copper contained in the air conditioners.

The thefts have occurred May 31 on Alma Avenue, June 8 on Alachua Avenue, Thursday on McFarlane Avenue, and Tuesday on Castillo Terrace and on Broadway Street.

Anyone with information about the thefts or who sees any suspicious people or vehicles in those areas is asked to call the Lake City Police Department at 386-719-2068.
