When taking your vehicle in for an oil change it’s important to make sure you are asking the right questions to get the most out of your service. Take a look at some questions you should ask.

What is included in the service package?: First of all, find out what you’re paying for. Then see if there’s anything you need inspected that’s not included. Some potential car issues can be discovered during routine services, so it’s important to make sure you’re having the fluids, brakes, tires and hoses checked whenever possible.

What type of oil is being put in my car? Find out what type of oil the service station is using, and then make sure that type of oil is acceptable for your car. Certain vehicles may require a specific type of oil.

What kind of oil filter is being used? Find out what type of oil filter is being used, and if it’s of premium quality. More premium filters have the ability to trap more particles from filtering through your engine.
