JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Fairgrounds are filled up with cats and dogs all looking for a "furever" home.
First Coast No More Homeless Pets, the Jacksonville Humane Society and Jacksonville's Animal Care and Protective Services have come together for the October Mega Pet Adoption Event, with about a thousand adoptable dogs and cats at the fairgrounds through Sunday.

The adoption fee includes spay or neuter, micro-chipping, vaccines and the animal comes with a license.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
According to FCNMHP, these mega-adoption weekend have saved the lives of 6,338 homeless dogs and cats since 2012.
