The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is returning to Jacksonville. Its new show "Built to Amaze" is the 143rd edition of the circus, which made its grand entrance Tuesday.
Families got a sneak peek of what's to come this weekend at "The Greatest Show on Earth." "Elephants, monkeys, clowns, laughing," Benjamin Sullivan said.
Tuesday morning, the circus' animal performers unloaded from the circus train and walked the railroad tracks into the loading entry parking lot of the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, where they will perform this weekend.
"Big, very big. First time we ever saw anything like that," Kevin Sullivan said.
With more than 90 animals and about 300 cast members, elephants, tigers and acrobats join together from across the globe to perform here in the River City. The world premiere of the brand new show is this weekend, from Thursday through Monday at the arena.
