Universal's move comes three days after Disney hiked one-day ticket prices to $99 for the Magic Kingdom and $94 for Epcot, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom.

Universal said in a statement to WKMG-TV it will continue to offer multi-day vacation packages for guests with options as low as $49 per day and provide special offers to Florida residents, including discounts on annual pass products.

"We set our prices to reflect the value of the entertainment experience we provide," Universal officials said. "Our guests continue to tell us we offer great entertainment at great value."
