Jury finds 22-year-old guilty of murder

Police say 21-year-old fatally stabbed after night of drinking

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Rondle Lee Snodgrass III, 22, was convicted this week for his involvement in the stabbing death of 21-year-old Michael Wilson. A jury found Snodgrass guilty on one count of first-degree murder.

In 2011, Snodgrass and co-defendant, Shea Carter-Strong, were drinking and partying with friends when the two got into a physical altercation with the victim. As the victim attempted to leave in his vehicle, Snodgrass and his co-defendant repeatedly stabbed him, later causing him to crash into a nearby fence. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Snodgrass faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. He will be sentenced the week of December 16.

Co-defendant Carter-Strong pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and is awaiting sentencing.
