The National Retail Federation's ninth annual Organized Retail Crime Survey states that while shoplifting has dropped slightly in the U.S. over the past year, it's still a big problem.
Of the 125 retail companies surveyed, more than 93 percent say their company has been the victim of organized retail crime in the past year, down from the record 96 percent last year.
Some commonly shoplifted items are not surprising, but others will leave you scratching your head. Here's an unranked list of the most shoplifted items.
Weight Loss Pills.
Electric Toothbrushes And Replacement Heads.
Diabetic Testing Strips.
Lotions And Creams.
LCD Monitors And Televisions.
High-End Vacuum Cleaners.
Kitchen Aid Mixers.
