Medusa, a 25-foot python, slithered its way into the record book in 2012 as the longest snake ever in captivity, Guinness World Records said.

A man reportedly bought a 10-foot python while intoxicated with the intent to sell it and make a profit.

Dwayne Matthews of Coventry, UK purchased Bruce the snake from a man in a van at a party, then woke the next morning to find it attempting to eat his friend, reports Metro.
Matthews then took the snake to a local reptile shop, but suspicious staff called police. It turned out Bruce was one of nine snakes stolen from another local man. Matthews was arrested and given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for two years, ordered him to pay a fine and to have eight weeks supervision.
