A couple is hitting back at a waitress in New Jersey who claims they didn't tip her because she's gay and left her a nasty note.

Not only did they tip Dayna Morales, the couple told New York TV station WNBC they have their time-stamped receipt and credit card statement to prove they left an $18 tip on their $93.55 bill earlier this month.

Morales shared a photo of a receipt with a self-righteous note about her gay "lifestyle" and no tip with the LGBT group Have a Gay Day, which posted it to their Facebook page.

It soon went viral, and Morales has gotten a lot of money since.

"Never would a message like that come from us," the husband told WNBC, noting that he and his wife support gay rights and even refused to vote for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie because of his stance against gay marriage.

"It's a disgusting thing to do," he added. "The restaurant profits from this, obviously Dayna profits from this. It's fraud, it's a scam."

The restaurant, Gallop Asian Bistro, is sticking with Morales so far.

It would not produce the original receipt for $93.55 for WNBC, but did say they are aware of the new allegations and have no comment "pending investigations."
