An Ohio man came back to life after being declared dead for nearly an hour.

Anthony Yahle's 17-year-old son learned his father was dead at Kettering Medical Center outside Dayton earlier this month, running down the hall to see nurses surrounding his father's body.

Distraught, Lawrence Yahle yelled, "Dad, you're not going to die today," according to ABC News.

Moments later, his father's heart monitor showed signs of life.

The tiny electrical movements prompted cardiologist Dr. Raja Nazir and his team to attempt to revive Anthony Yahle again. To the astonishment of medical staff, his heart began beating again.

More than a week later, the 37-year-old diesel mechanic is at home resting, according to Dayton TV station WHIO.

"I'm calling it a miracle because I've never seen anything like it," Nazir told ABC News.

Doctors still aren't sure what caused Anthony Yahle's heart to stop beating the night before his near-death experience, though they think it may have been a viral infection.
