A Delaware man is in hot water after police said he fled a traffic stop with a cop in his car.

Police in southern New Jersey stopped Randy Eno Mase, 19, on early Saturday for a speeding violation, according to the Burlington County Times.

When officers began speaking with him, police said Mase tried to drive off.

But not before one of the officers had opened the driver's side door and jumped in.

The officer was able to stop the vehicle a short time later.

Mase faces numerous charges, including aggravated assault, eluding and drug charges, The Associated Press reported.

He also faces several motor vehicle citations.
