JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

One motorcyclist is dead and two more are hospitalized in stable condition after colliding on Heckscher Drive on Sunday night, just east of Blount Island.

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the motorcyclist who died as 52-year-old Mildred Foster.

Troopers said Foster lost control of her motorcycle while negotiating a curve on Heckscher Drive southbound near Ramoth Drive, for reasons unknown, and drifted towards the guardrail around 9 p.m.

Another motorcycle driven by 36-year-old Tony Gaylord with 47-year-old Jacqueline Lindsay-Harper as passenger heading the same direction also lost control..

Gaylord and Lindsay-Harper were taken to UF Health Jacksonville, where they are listed in stable condition.

All three riders were wearing their helmets during the crash.

Troopers are still investigating if alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The crash shut down both lanes of Heckscher Drive for about an hour the crash.
