1 not expected to live after robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police called to an apartment on the Southside just after midnight Saturday for a robbery in progress found a person with a gunshot wound.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says a person in the unit at 3541 Victoria Park Road was transported to UF Health Jacksonville in life-threatening condition and was not expected to live.

Homicide investigators responded to the scene.  Detectives are interviewing witnesses and they conducted a canvass to try and determine what occurred.  There is no suspect information at this time and the identity of the person who was shot is not known, according to detectives.
