JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One of three men who pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact in the shooting death of Kalil McCoy last year was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years in prison.
Jonathan Brooks admitted to helping dump the 20-year-old's body in the woods of a Tallyrand neighborhood in June 2010.

Kennard Mahone and Alfred Mears, who also pleaded guilty to the same charge, are awaiting sentencing in August.
Frederick Wade was convicted in April of second-degree murder for killing McCoy. Prosecutors said Wade, 20, shot McCoy in a heated argument over her wanting her window rolled up in the SUV they were in.
Brooks was also sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of burglary of a dwelling in May. The burglary sentence will run concurrently with his 15-year prison term.
Wade's sentencing hearing was rescheduled for August. He faces 25 years to life in prison.
The McCoy family said it is satisfied with Brooks' sentence.
McCoy, Wade and the three other suspects were classmates at Andrew Jackson High School, where McCoy graduated from weeks before her death.
