The 10-day fair opened Thursday, and crowds built to Saturday's record crowd as 23,199 filled the midway.
The rides, the food, the entertainment and fun drew the crowds.
Lines were long, but there were lots of smiles and no one seemed to be complaining.
Each day of the fair offers different promotions and discount packages. Check the schedule.
Did we say smiles?
The size of the crowd wasn't the only thing soaring.
There were rides for people of all ages and persuasions.
As the sun dropped lower, the crowds continued to grow.
Soon it was time for dinner.
There's nothing quite like fair food...
... where they will fry anything.
There were also shows for people of all ages.
And lawmower racing.
And let's not forget the fair's middle name: agricultural.
A favorite stop every year is the petting zoo.
Teach 'em young how to feed the livestock.
After dark, the midway takes on a different atmosphere.
Have we mentioned the arcade games?
And we we have a winner.
No visit to the fair would be complete without taking in the pig races.
The little porkers were the fastets.
The bigger pigs were a little pokey -- but there's always a winner.
