LONGWOOD, Fla. – A family member accidentally ran over a 1-year-old in the driveway of a Longwood home, critically injuring the girl, police said.
The incident happened about 12:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Freeman Street in the Longwood Plantations subdivision. The accident happened at the home of the girl's parents, but the car was being driven by another family member, police said.

The girl was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital.
The vehicle was going in reverse when the child was struck, police at the scene said.
Police initially told Local 6 that they had received a report about a missing child before discovering the girl had been hit.
No other details have been released.
