Columbia County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested two men Friday after a month-long investigation of two armed robberies.

The robberies to the Subway Sandwich Shop on SE Baya Drive and the S & S convenience store at 3544 SE Country Club Road occurred December 9 within minutes of each other and the victims gave similar descriptions of the suspects.

Later in December, an informant came forward and identified the suspects as Thomas L. Ensey and  Fred Russell Serrano, both 22.

On Friday, both suspects were taken into custody without incident Friday and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility on charges of armed robbery.
