PALM COAST, Fla. -

Deputies in Flagler County arrested a man and a woman on drug charges during a traffic stop Wednesday.

Deputies said they were patrolling the area of Bolder Rock Drive in Palm Coast when a vehicle with a broken windshield was spotted.

They stopped the car and made contact with the driver, identified as Sloane Book. Deputies said they could smell burnt marijuana coming from inside the car, and when they asked to search the vehicle for drugs, Book declined.

K-9 Deputy Tag and his handler walked around the car, and Tag detected narcotics were inside, deputies said.

The passenger, identified as Cleo Holmes III, got out of the car and cooperated with law enforcement, deputies said.

They said they found a pill bottle in Holmes' front pocket, which contained 46 methadone pills, 41 propranolol hydrochloride pills, two small bags of marijuana and more than $800 in cash.

In addition, deputies said they found seven bags of cocaine, four Dilaudid pills, syringes, spoons and other miscellaneous items of drug paraphernalia inside the car.

Both suspects were arrested on various drug charges and booked into the Flagler County Detention Facility.
