2 shot at the Roosevelt Gardens apartment complex

JACKSONVILLE, Fla -

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a double shooting that happened just after midnight Sunday morning at the Roosevelt Gardens Apartment complex in the Hogan's Creek section of the city. Police say one person was shot in the lower body and the second person was grazed by a bullet.

Both people were transported to UF Health with non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not released the names of the victims at this time. They have not provided any suspect descriptions. Police say several items of evidence were collected.

This is the latest in a series of shootings in the Jacksonville area over the weekend. On Saturday, two people were shot at the Canterbury Gardens Apartments on the Westside. One person died in that incident.

Another person was shot in the Brentwood section of the city on Saturday. She  was transported to UF Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
