HASTINGS, Fla. -

Deputies in St. Johns County are trying to identify two men who robbed another man early Tuesday morning.

Deputies initially responded to what was reported as a stabbing just before 2:30 a.m. in the 100 block of East St. Johns Avenue in Hastings.

Once on scene, 32-year-old Reshad Medlock, was able to tell deputies he was robbed by two men and beaten with a gun. Detectives said the robbers were able to get an undisclosed amount of cash from Medlock.

Medlock was taken to Flagler Hospital, where he was treated for significant injuries but released.

One robber was described as a black man with dreads, wearing dark pants, a dark shirt and some type of mask to cover his face.

The area was not well lit at the time of the robbery, so witnesses did not clearly see the second man, deputies said.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS.
