PALATKA, Fla. – Two suspects were arrested Thursday after a search warrant was executed in a narcotics investigation.

Daren Williams, 30, and Alison Himes, 23, were arrested after the search of their apartment on Washington Street.

When deputies arrived to the home, Williams refused to comply with orders and fled into the apartment.

Once deputies made entry into the home, Williams and Hines were taken into custody. Detectives then located illegal narcotics including marijuana and various types of narcotic pills, drug paraphernalia, two firearms and ammunition.

Williams, a convicted felon, was in possession of the firearms and ammunition.

Detectives also notified Florida Department of Children and Families after discovering numerous narcotics pills in reach of two small children.

Williams and Hines are both being held in the Putnam County jail.

Williams is charged of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and child neglect.

Hines is charged with possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and child neglect.

Williams' bond was set at $8,024. Hines' bond was set at $6,016.
