2 teens hospitalized after seizures at beach

Police believe seizures were result of narcotics

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two teens are in critical but stable condition after suffering seizures Monday morning at Huguenot Park.

Jacksonville police believe the seizures were the result of narcotics.

Police said beach patrol found one of the teens in distress by his vehicle about 9:25 a.m. They checked on him and he said he was fine, police said.

Shortly after, they called for rescue. The other teen also began having the same symptoms, police said.

Both teens, ages 16 and 17, were taken to UF Health Jacksonville in critical but stable condition. They were expected to survive.
