In April 2012, Terrell Reed and his brother, Tevin Reed, met with 28-year-old Jeffrey May to buy drugs. During the deal, attorneys said the brothers pulled out guns and robbed May.

As May struggled to fight back, he was shot in the back of the neck, authorities said.

When police arrived at the crime scene they found blood and other evidence, but not May's body. Officials said detectives later found May in the Trout River.

Tevin Reed was convicted last year on charges of murder in the first degree, armed robbery and attempted armed robbery. Attorneys said he has been sentenced to life in prison without the hope of parole.
