LAKE CITY, Fla. – Three people were arrested in the robbery and attack of an elderly woman Wednesday afternoon in Lake City.
Casey Wilcox, 23, and his mother, Angel Walker, 42, are charged with robbery and illegal use of stolen credit cards. Jason Smith, 32, is charged with the latter. Wilcox is also charged with aggravated battery, and Walker is also charged with drug possession.

Lake City police said Wilcox attacked an 82-year-old woman from behind just after 4 p.m. at the Lake City Mall, striking her and stealing her purse. Police said he then left in a van driven by Walker.
The woman was taken to a hospital after suffering a broken nose, broken left arm and dislocated shoulder. She later underwent surgery.
Police said the suspects tried to use the victim's credit card the next morning to buy cigarettes, then later bought cellphones at a Walmart.
Police eventually spotted the suspects' van and arrested them. They said Walker was in possession of methamphetamine.
