3 men shot in Northwest Jacksonville

Three men in their 20s were shot in Northwest Jacksonville on Wednesday afternoon, and two were in life-threatening condition, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Three men in their 20s were shot in Northwest Jacksonville on Wednesday afternoon, and two were in life-threatening condition, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

West 25th @ Spires double shooting Police were called to the shooting at West 25th Street and Spires Avenue just before 1 p.m.

Investigators said The victims were playing dominoes in a vacant lot when the shooter drove up, got out of a car and started shooting.

All three men were taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center.

There was no suspect information.

"We need the help of the neighbors and the people that are in the neighborhood," Sgt. Shawn Coarsey said. "We don't know who it is at this point. They live here, they'll either hear word on the street a lot more than we will. We just need their assistance. I don't believe they're in any danger. I don't think this was a random shooting. I think they were looking for a specific person."

The SWAT team was called to a home at West First and Canal streets just before 5 p.m., several miles from the triple shooting scene, but police said it was not connected to the triple shooting.
