GUYTON, Ga. -

Three siblings died in a fiery crash that forced officials to close a highway in southeast Georgia, according to local authorities.

An Effingham County spokesman identifies the victims as 18-year-old Wesley Mulligan; 16-year-old Garrett Mulligan and 3-year-old Eli Hickox, all from Guyton.

The Savannah Morning News reports that the three were in a truck that collided with a tanker truck on Georgia 17 near Guyton on Thursday.

The tanker was carrying gasoline, and it exploded. The wreckage burned for hours and caused major damage to the highway.

The driver of the tanker truck wasn't hurt, and no charges are expected in the wreck.

The highway will be closed until Monday.
