A man in his 20s was found dead Friday morning in an apartment in the 3200 block of Rayford Street in Murray Hill, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said no one witnessed the shooting, but several people in the area heard four to five shots fired about 10:35 a.m. and called 911. Jacksonville Fire-Rescue pronounced the victim dead at the scene.  His name has not been released.

Police had no one in custody in connection with the slaying, but they want to question at least two men seen leaving the scene in a silver or grey Toyota just after the shots were fired.

"On the back of that Toyota, there appears to be what some body work going on, and it is primer grey," Sgt. T.K. Waters said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
