Amber Alert canceled; Collier County girl found safe

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -

A 2-year-old Florida girl for whom an Amber Alert was issued early Monday has been found safe, according to officials.

Details about the discovery have not been released.

Denise Hernandez had last been seen in the 400 block of Wells Street in Immokalee in Collier County.

According to deputies, Denise was put to bed by her guardian around 9 p.m. Sunday. She was discovered missing a couple of hours later and the bedroom window was open. The guardian told deputies that the window was closed when she put Denise to bed, the Collier County Sheriff's Office said.

No other details were immediately known.
