Brunswick police were involved in a chase in on U.S. 17 in October 2012.

BRUNSWICK, Ga. -

Brunswick police are planning to film a car chase scene to be included in a video aimed at new recruits.

The Brunswick News reports that police will temporary block some streets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday to film the scene.

Brunswick police Lt. Todd Rhodes said officers want to make the chase scene as realistic as possible. The aim is to give potential officers a good idea of what officers do and how they do it.

Rhodes said plans call for the video to be used by the department's recruiter to show police academy students what the Brunswick department is all about. He said the hope is that it will inspire more young officers to consider joining the department.
