Burglars sought in string of car break-ins in Oakleaf

Investigators in Clay County are trying to solve a string of car break-ins. They say the latest one happened in broad daylight.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -

Investigators in Clay County are trying to solve a string of car break-ins.

They say the latest one happened in broad daylight.

A total of 14 crimes were reported last week in the Oakleaf Plantation area, in the Worthington Oaks, Highland Mill, and Silver Leaf neighborhoods.

The last break-in happened at the Oakleaf Amenities Center.

The Sheriff's Office says money, wallets, car stereos and other items were stolen from the cars.

The car detectives think the burglars were driving is a a 2000 to 2005 white Cadillac DeVille with a light brown or beige top and solid chrome wheels.
