JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on Friday arrested a man wanted on multiple counts of sexual battery on a child younger than 12.

Police said a warrant was issued Friday morning for 48-year-old Floyd Rupp, who they said was considered armed and dangerous. Within two hours of announcing Rupp was wanted, police say he turned himself in.

Rupp is charged with nine counts of sexual assault or lewd and lascivious molestation. There was only one victim, police said.
