Columbia County police search for robbery suspect

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -

Police in Columbia County are searching for an armed robbery suspect that held up a Stop-n-Go on Sunday morning.

According to the report, police say a male subject entered the store armed with a handgun. The suspect demanded money from the clerk. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as being 6 feet tall and 165-175 pounds. The suspect was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, light gray sweat pants, black tennis shoes and a white t-shirt. The armed man also had a black stocking cap on under the hood of his sweatshirt.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Columbia County Sheriff's Office at 386-758-7015 or Crime Stoppers at 386-754-7099.
