All Westbound lanes of Atlantic Boulevard near St. Johns Bluff Road were closed for about an hour on Monday morning following a traffic accident, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Shortly before 5 a.m. Monday morning, a white pickup truck was heading Westbound on Atlantic when the truck crashed near the 10600 block of Atlantic Boulevard.

It is not known at this time what caused the crash, but the truck was the only vehicle involved.

While the westbound lanes were closed, traffic was diverted through the BP Gas Station parking lot near St. Johns Bluff Road.

The truck was towed from the scene around 5:45 a.m. Monday and traffic started moving through the area again.

There was some debris cleanup going on in the area, which may have caused onlooker delays.
