GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -

The Clay County Sheriff's Office has released artwork of what its planned law enforcement memorial will look like.

The memorial will be located at the David A. White Memorial Headquarters in Green Cove Springs, named after the Clay County detective who was killed in February.

Organizers are selling engraved paver brick's to the public for $20 to help off-set the cost of the project. The memorial will also be funded by money seized from drug dealers.

“This memorial site will honor all the men who lost their lives in the line of duty in Clay County. But, I think it is especially noteworthy – considering that Detective White was killed by a criminal in the drug trade – that seized drug funds will be used in part to construct this memorial,” said Sheriff Rick Beseler.

The Sheriff's office is collaborating with Klaybor & Associates architect and design firm and the Clay County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 104 on the project.

For more information about the agency's personnel who will be honored by the memorial, visit its Wall of Honor page.
