PALATKA, Fla. -

Investigators in Putnam County say a school cafeteria worker and volunteer basketball coach accused of raping a 13-year-old girl did so at the Palatka City Dock last week, according to a warrant released Monday.

According to the affidavit, the victim told investigators 21-year-old Freddie Taylor threatened her if she went to police, saying, "If you tell anyone about this, I will rape you again."

Deputies said the girl told them Taylor had spoken with her sexually on several different occassions.

The warrant says Taylor had the permission of the girl's mother to watch her.

Taylor works in the cafeteria at James A. Long Elementary School and volunteers with the Beasley Middle School basketball program. He is also a basketball coach for the Palatka City League.

Taylor is a full-time employee of the Putnam County School District but is now on suspension with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
