Two teens were arrested Thursday in connection with a home burglary in which several firearms and computer equipment were stolen.

Deputies said 18-year-old John Burke and 16-year-old Shawn Pearson broke into a Fort White home on Cumberland Street on Tuesday and stole the items.

On Thursday, Columbia County Sheriff's Office school resource deputies said they obtained information that a Fort White High School student may have been involved in the burglary.

Through their joint investigation, school resource deputies and detectives were able to find the stolen property at a home on Nantucket Street in Ft. White. The stolen firearms and the majority of the computer equipment were recovered for the victim.

Detectives arrested the two teens and transported them to the Columbia County Detention Facility on charges of burglary while armed and grand theft.
