JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Firefighters battled a fire early Saturday morning in St. Nicholas that shut down Atlantic Boulevard overnight.

Jacksonville Fire-Rescue says the fire started just after 1 a.m. on Atlantic and Mayfair Road.

JFRD says there were two commercial buildings on the property. One was damaged and the second destroyed by the fire.

One of the buildings is Smile Solutions, a dental office, but it's unclear if that was the building that was destroyed.

Atlantic Boulevard was shut down for about three hours, but reopened just after 4 a.m.
