BUNNELL, Flal. -

Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies will host their “Christmas With A Deputy” holiday shopping event on Friday at Target on State Road 100 in Palm Coast.

One hundred children will be shopping with deputies this year, the largest number of children the event has served since its inception. Each child will receive a $150 gift card to make their purchases. These are children whose families are struggling with these economic times.

The youngsters will arrive at the Town Center shopping center’s east side in patrol cars with their assigned deputy. A motorcycle escort with lights and sirens on will lead the motorcade west from immediately in front of Rent-A-Center across the entire parking lot to the eastern most point –- Target.

Kids and deputies will arrive at the front doors of Target about 6:30 p.m. to begin shopping. Hot dogs will be served afterward in the Garden Center.

The kids have fun and the deputies even smile.
