Fleming Island woman wins $1M lottery prize

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -

The Florida Lottery announced that Remona Prowell, 59, of Fleming Island, claimed a $1 million prize at the lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

Prowell purchased her winning Scratch-Off ticket at Winn-Dixie on County Road 220 in Orange Park.  She chose to receive the winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment in the amount of $779,676.

This was the third $1 million scratch-off prize winner in Florida in the past nine days. Two top prizes of $5 million and nine $1 million prizes remain to be won in the 25th Anniversary Edition Millionaire Scratch-Off game. 

This ticket features one-in-2.87 overall odds of winning, the best overall odds of any Scratch-Off game currently available from the Florida Lottery.
