VIDEO: Right now, early voting has some in Georgia heading to the polls, 22 days before the election. That's twelve days before voters in some parts of Florida will be able to cast their ballots.

KINGSLAND, Ga. -

Georgia residents began voting Monday in the presidential race, along with state and local elections.

Early voting runs from Monday through Nov. 2.  All polls are open on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

There is at least one early voting location in each Georgia county. Voters will be required to show one of the required forms of photo identification, such as a driver's license or a valid U.S. passport.

Barbara King was one of the first in line to vote Monday at the Camden County Courthouse.

"I can miss the crowd. I can get in and get out, and that means I can get back outside and start doing me some more absentee ballots, which I have been pushing 100 percent," King said.

The number of early voting locations may increase in some counties closer to the Nov. 6 election day.  Every county in Southeast Georgia will add at least one additional location that will allow voting on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Georgia officials have predicted a big turnout for early voting.

Georgia legislators changed the law before the 2008 presidential election so that anyone could vote early within 45 days of the election without having to state a reason.

Early voting won't start in Florida this year until Oct. 27 -- a cut from 14 to eight days of early voting by act of the Florida Legislature what has drawn a federal court challenge.
