Hastings Subway restaurant robber wanted

HASTINGS, Fla. -

Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office are asking the public for help finding the man who robbed the Subway restaurant on Church Street in Hastings on Dec. 15.

Witnesses said the the robber entered the store and ordered a meal. Once his meal was prepared, he indicated he was armed and ordered employees to give him an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

Detectives describe the suspect as a 25- to 30-year-old white man, 6 feet tall and weighing 250 pounds.  Witnesses said he was wearing a white shirt, dark pants, a gold colored watch and appeared to have a “sleeve” spider web tattoo on his right arm.

The suspect left in a dark, two-door compact vehicle, possibly a Honda.
