Homicide investigators called to Westside apartments

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Homicide investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office were called to Eureka Garden Apartments on the Westside late Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded to the 1200 block of Labelle Street just after 5 p.m.

On Friday, police identified the victim as 56-year-old Antonio Dexter Reece, a resident at the apartment complex.  Police did not provide any more details on how he died, but said there was an active and ongoing investigation.
