The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office say they are searching for a vehicle after they received a call Sunday evening about a possible kidnapping.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office now says they have located a car they were looking for in connection with a man reported taken against his will, which is no longer being considered a kidnapping.

Sunday night, police said they believe a man in his 20s was taken against his will in the area of 6200 Gilchrist Road, off U.S. Highway 1 just south of Interstate 295.  They said he could possibly be in danger.

Several witnesses at the home said they saw this happen after some sort of altercation. One of the witnesses then called 911 to alert authorities.

Officials at the scene said they were looking for a gray 1985 Buick LeSabre with license plate number FL 605 MPF, which police believed may have been carrying the missing person.

Just after 7 a.m. Monday, JSO spokeswoman Melissa Bujeda sent an email saying the car police were looking for was located and the incident was not a kidnapping, although no other details were provided and it was not clear if the missing man was located.
