Jacksonville Beach bank robber sought

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -

Police in Jacksonville Beach are looking for a man who robbed a bank Thursday morning.

Police said the man went into Atlantic Coast Bank in the 1700 block of Third Street South about 9:30 a.m., approached the teller, demanded money and then left.

The robber is described as a heavy-set white man, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and in his 30s or 40s. He was wearing a dark T-shirt, dark pants and a plain blue ball cap.

Police said the man may have been driving a dark Chevy Silverado pickup truck and was last seen traveling south on State Road A1A.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call the Jacksonville Beach Police Department at 904-270-1661.
