Liquor store robber sought by police

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police in Jacksonville are looking for a man who robbed a liquor store last week.

Police said the man went into Five Star Liquors in the 8300 block of Arlington Expressway about 4 p.m. Dec. 6 and walked to the back of the store.

When he was approached by an employee, he pointed a gun at the man and threatened to kill him if he didn't give him all of the money from the register, police said.

After the worker complied with the robber's demand, the robber grabbed a bottle of Paul Masson Brandy, left the store and fled the area in a newer model black Toyota Camry, police said.

The man is pictured in surveillance photos. Police ask the public to take note of the Miami Hurricanes emblem on the backpack the robber was wearing.

Anyone with any information about the man's identity or whereabouts is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
