MAD DADS canvass Westside neighborhood for information on Kerry Lamb's murder

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A local organization reached out to a Westside community Saturday, asking residents to break the code of silence, in hopes of gathering information about a January murder.

MAD DADS canvassed neighborhoods surrounding Shindler Drive Baptist Church. That's where police discovered the body of Kerry Lamb in mid-January.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has not revealed if there are any leads in this case.

Savannah Carver lives in the community and said she's concerned about the well-being of her children.

"That's sad that people don't want to give it up," said Carver. "I drove right down the street the other day right after it was done, I guess, my daughter is the one whose seen the body laying down. We had to turn around just to see what she was talking about. She's five years old. It's not good to be driving down the road and see something like that."

MAD DADS is trying to help officers collect further information by encouraging neighbors to step forward.

If you have any information about this crime, you can leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
